Do you have a pile of scrap material that you’ve been meaning to get to… someday? Well, wait no more- that someday is TODAY! We’ve got a few quick and easy ideas to get those scraps off the shelf and into some fun projects!
A Dish of a Dishtowel:
Take any fabric you have and transform your ordinary dishtowels into something actually fun to use! We used a variety of colorful fabric and ribbon. Another fun idea? Sew an old doily onto your guest’s hand towels. The result is sweet and simple. Vintage fabric is awesome, but not the best idea for this quick craft. Don’t worry, we’ve got an idea for your retro prints. Read on.
Minxy Magnets
Call it the quickest gift idea ever, the easiest craft of all time, or just plain fridge flair, but fabric covered magnets look amazing. We use ours in the HaveHeart office, but you can use yours anywhere the magnetic force pulls you. (Puns are a part of life, people). We recommend gluing with either Elmer’s or clear tacky glue. Hot glue works as well, but is likely to leave an unslightly glue lump.
Risqué Ribbon
Whenever you get a special bouquet for yourself or from your honey, it almost always comes with a super cute bow or ribbon. If you’re like most of us, you plan to wear that ribbon in your hair but quite haven’t gotten around to it. We’ve got a useful solution: simply tie your favorite ribbon around a vase, planter or craft tin for an added color boost.
