  • 3 Ways To Bring Color Into Your Fashion

    By Ruthie Prasil

I’ve said it before, but I’m going to go ahead and say it again: skinny jeans look great on all of us. I am not a size 4. Or even a size 6. But the most flattering pair of pants I own are my good ‘ol skinny ankle jeans. They aren’t trying to hide my less than perfect thighs (and when you do that, you are actually accentuating…just an FYI). They show off my body’s shape and virtually any top can be paired with them appropriately.

But I’ll admit that I get bored with my dark wash denim. Even though they are versatile, easy, and flattering, sometimes I need a little color in my life! Then I discovered the beauty of colored skinnies. And I thanked the fashion gods. Believe me when I say they can be just as versatile and appropriate for every occasion as your dark wash or black skinnies.

Watch as I take the same pair of skinnies (these happen to be yellow, but it honestly doesn’t matter what color you have) and change the other elements of the outfit so you’re good to go, no matter what your plans are!

    1. Everyday Look

HaveHeart Since the pants are so bright and bold, I highly recommend going very simple with everything else. It’s really easy to go overboard and look like an adult trying to be hip and cool. We don’t want to try…we just want to be. Am I right?! Stay cool, friends. Keep it simple and bold at the same time.

    2. Date Night

Jazz it up for your date, but don’t change your entire look. Swap out that easy cotton tee for a glam top. I love this sleeveless sparkle top. It’s not crazy glittery or over the top. Instead, it’s special and understated. The necklace adds a bit of oomph and the heels….well, heels are always appropriate for nights out.

    3. Colder Weather

Colored skinnies (or any bright colors for that matter) are not just a spring and summer thing! Gone are the days where we swap out our fun colors for browns and blacks just because the temperatures are dipping a bit. Keep your fun! Do this by keeping the rest of your elements monochromatic or you risk looking like a rainbow. Rainbows are great, but not to wear. I am a little obsessed with the look of an oversized sweater with skinny jeans and booties. Can you blame me? It’s perfect. It’s polished but fun. You look ready to either hit school pick up or the movies with friends.

Try all of these looks out. Chances are, you already have most of these elements and may just have to search for those perfect pants. Check these out:

    H&M white super skinnies

    Boden skinny jeans

Find a brand or style that fits you the very best and stick with it. Don’t be afraid to add a little color to your life. Skinnies are the best way to go.

    Choose Your Sign:
Maybe you will not stand up for yourself strenuously enough. It`s not a very self-assertive kind of energy around. So if you`re normally timid, this will tend to push you into a corner. You just disappear off into daydreams, which can be great in itself but staying in touch with reality will help as well. Luckily Jupiter will help you pick up new information, meet new people, and generally stay in the swing of things.
